How to Water an Air Plant

Like us, air plants need water too!

Air plants are a pretty and hardy plant and this means low-maintenance and relatively little attention; but you cannot just pop them into a terrarium or stick them on a shelf and forget about them.  Air plants need to eat and their natural food is water.

Here’s how to water it:

Place the plants in a bowl with clean water. Let soak for 10-15 minutes. Gently shake  any excess water off the base of the air plants.

*** Turn them upside down and leave them out of their containers on a a towel to dry (within four hours).

Another way to water your air plant is the misting method, which consists of spraying all surfaces of the air plant between 4-6 times.
